Hello and thank you for visiting! You might think of Shelby as a typical wife and mother. Not so for Shelby Hixen. When her husband raced for years she was part of his pit crew, right there in the thick of things, although her husband Tim no longer drives himself, Their 15 year old son Logan still races carts, Tim and Shelby now spend alot of time helping Logan get to the checkered flag. Time with their daughter, Liz is always precious (almost time for collage) which Shelby and Tim are finding very difficult. Having her two children at a young age has always made her children top priority.  Does anyone have advise for early empty nest syndrom? 

Supporting Role 

As a wife and local businesswoman, Shelby's on the go personality is key to her success. Making sure that time with her children is always first her children know they can rely on Shelby to be a strong, confident supporter when life and competition gets tough. She in never one to just stand by the sidelines. In fact Shelby's always at her best when she's right in the middle of the action.

A Calming Effect 

On the rare occasion when Shelby isn't working with her clients or spending time with her family, she enjoys the wonder of living on Smith Lake. The area suits her so well-with lots of activities to keep her on the move, and peaceful, quiet spots for those moments of downtime. While two of their five children live with them, Shelby and Tim like gathering the family together for an afternoon relaxing by the water. Shelby enjoys the pace of the life by the lake. Here, she can recharge and refocus whenever necessary.

Living on the lake and raising her family there gives Shelby great knowledge of lake living.
